Steelwork Technical Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Steelwork Technical Coordinator to join our team in Bristol. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating steelwork platform designs, ensuring design maturity, and liaising with building layout and piping teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate steelwork platform designs to ensure design maturity
  • Liaise with building layout and piping teams to coordinate design
  • Smooth the path for timely engineering delivery
  • Manage Open Points to mitigation and resolution
  • Maintain QA procedures in delivering SW design
  • Manage engineering changes in line with company procedures
  • Resolve identified technical issues
  • Receive, analyse and verify the consistency of input data
  • Manage schedule impacts resulting from changes
Qualifications:
  • Design of seismically classified steel platforms and structures from concept to detailed design delivery
  • Use of 3D modelling and structural analysis tools
  • Knowledge / Understanding of PWRs would be an advantage
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant Health and Safety regulations
  • Experience in the nuclear sector and plant layout engineering would be advantageous
  • Knowledge/understanding of the Eurocodes related to civil engineering and especially knowledge of the design of fastenings and anchorages in concrete
  • Knowledge of the design of reinforced concrete and pre-stressed concrete structures
  • Ability to deal with design and layout constraints
