Teaching Role Overview

Zen Educate seeks a skilled Maths instructor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Maths concepts and be able to convey this knowledge effectively to students.

This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that cater to diverse learning needs and encourage critical thinking.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive lesson plans that meet curriculum and educational standards.
  • Evaluating student progress through assignments, tests, and observations, providing constructive feedback to support student development.
  • Creating a positive classroom environment that promotes student participation and fosters a love for learning.
  • Utilising various teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Organising extracurricular activities related to Maths to enhance student engagement.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to improve instructional practices and share resources.
  • Maintaining accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behaviour.

Key Requirements:

  • A degree in Maths, Education, or a related field is essential.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum and assessment methods.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Experience in teaching Maths at the secondary level is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in lesson planning and record keeping.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on educational best practices.

Salary Information: Estimated salary: £30,000 per annum
