Senior Machine Engineer

Get Recruited Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Machine Engineer to join their team in Luton. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established manufacturing company, providing technical service support, conducting machinery demonstrations, and resolving mechanical and electrical faults.

The Role:

  • Provide remote and onsite technical service support, including installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery.
  • Conduct thorough machinery demonstrations and installations, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and software faults, utilizing electrical and mechanical schematics skills.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, delivering exceptional customer service and support.
  • Effectively manage and control vehicle parts stock, ensuring optimal inventory levels and minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate with overseas manufacturers and suppliers to source high-quality components and materials.
  • Assist the sales team with machine demonstrations at trade shows and events, showcasing the company's products and services.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Must have a strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering, with a proven track record of working in a similar role.
  • Must be fully flexible to travel around the UK and internationally, with a valid passport and ability to obtain necessary visas.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Electrical and mechanical schematics skills, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams.
  • Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
