About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned Senior Test Engineer to join our Software team, responsible for designing and delivering comprehensive software validation and quality assurance solutions. This involves crafting and executing tests, creating automation tools, identifying errors, and collaborating with cross-functional teams – software and hardware – to ensure our product meets rigorous quality standards. The Software test team consists of highly skilled engineers with diverse backgrounds, dedicated to driving automation excellence. We work on complex products, machine learning frameworks, and large datasets, requiring expertise in integration testing, release quality, and data visualization. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing test designs and implementations for projects within the Software team and machine learning frameworks.
  • Maintaining and enhancing our Python-based in-house automation framework and tools.
  • Collaborating closely with Software development teams to foster a culture of test-driven development.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • At least 10 years of software development experience, with 5 years in a test-related role.
  • Strong proficiency in Python.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, self-criticism, and a strong sense of teamwork.
  • Experience in hardware or chip-level testing.
  • Exposure to machine learning frameworks, SQL, test data storage solutions, and DB management.
What We Offer

In addition to a competitive salary (£85,000 - £110,000 per annum), Graphcore offers flexible working arrangements, a generous annual leave policy, private medical insurance, health cash plan, dental plan, pension matching (up to 5%), life assurance, income protection, and an employee assistance program. We prioritize building an inclusive work environment and are committed to diversity and inclusion.
