About the Account Handler Role

We are seeking an experienced Account Handler to join our team at Scouts, a leading organization that helps young people develop skills for life and find their place in the world.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a prime contact point for clients, providing information, guidance, and quotes on their insurance needs.
  • Cross-sell and up-sell relevant products to existing clients.
  • Offer information, guidance, and quotes to prospects, converting them to clients.
  • Achieve targets for existing client revenue retention, new business growth, and lead generation.
  • Administer policies, handling queries and achieving prompt solutions.
  • Collect premiums income in line with Unity policies.
  • Work as an effective member of the Unity staff, complying with business and office procedures and FCA rules.
  • Pro-actively review insurance procedures and suggest improvements.
  • Process and handle claims for clients.
Requirements
  • Experience with youth charities and their insurance needs.
  • Experience working in the commercial insurance industry.
  • Computer literacy and experience in using insurance systems.
  • Knowledge and experience of FSA Compliance and TCF practices.
  • Professional insurance qualifications, such as Cert CII or Diploma in Insurance.
