Chief Financial Officer - Engineering Company

A leading Engineering company in the UK is seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer to drive their financial operations and support their growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and implement the company's strategic vision and long-term business plans.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making, including evaluating new business opportunities, mergers and acquisitions, and market expansion.
  • Lead financial planning and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial reporting, and analysis.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Manage relationships with banks, investors, and other financial institutions to secure funding and optimize capital structure.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks to protect the company's assets and ensure business continuity.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial and tax regulations, including timely and accurate filing of all financial statements.
  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring transparency and accountability in all financial matters.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Oversee the implementation of financial software and technology solutions to streamline financial operations.
  • Provide guidance and support to the finance team on complex financial issues, ensuring professional growth and development.
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment of financial goals with overall business objectives.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years of financial management experience.
  • Must have technical knowledge within an Engineering company.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing financial strategies that drive business growth and profitability within an SME environment.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and financial analysis. Experience with ERP systems and implementations desirable.
