Avencia Consulting Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Claims Specialist to join our Complex Claims Team in Leeds. As a Senior Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a workload of claims covering various classes of business, with a focus on Professional Indemnity, Employers Liability, Public Liability, and Care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full responsibility and accountability for your workload of claims, prioritizing work and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Have a detailed knowledge of policy wordings and their application for Professional Indemnity, Employers' Liability, Public Liability, and Management Liability claims across all classes of business.
- Contribute to team projects as required by the Complex Claims Team Leader and the Head of Insurance Claims.
- Have either a claims background or legal background/experience, with experience in care claims, professional indemnity, and social welfare being desirable.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook, and become fully competent with our in-house systems.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
