Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Nursery Practitioner to provide learning support at our West Cambridge Day Nursery in Cambridge. The ideal candidate will be able to work closely with children who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and support their individual learning and development.

About the Role

This part-time position is 25 hours per week, all-year-round, with shifts falling between 11:00-16:00 on Monday-Friday. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for working directly with one or more children with SEND, and supporting their care plans.

You will also be required to work with a wider group of children to cover the responsibilities of their Key Person, enabling them to focus on specific children on a one-on-one basis.

Requirements
  • Naturally nurturing, caring, and compassionate towards others
  • Experience of caring for children under five with SEND, ideally within a nursery environment
  • Able to be a positive role model and meet individual children's developmental and care needs
  • Enjoy contributing within a busy team environment
Salary and Benefits

The hourly pay rate for this position ranges from £12.10 to £14.84, depending on qualifications. We offer up to 50 paid days off work, childcare discount, and various retail discounts.
