We are currently seeking an experienced finance assistant manager to support our finance team and enable the finance manager to focus on high-level management accounts. The successful candidate will have a well-rounded background in accounting and payroll, ideally with experience in the care sector.

About the Role

  • Oversee and process customer invoices for approximately 225 clients on a fortnightly basis.
  • Assist in managing payroll for around 100 employees, including month-end payroll close and pension submissions.
  • Coordinate direct debit payments from customers and resolve any customer queries that may arise.
  • Manage outstanding balances and ensure timely collections, as well as submit and oversee invoices for customers under local authority care.
  • Support the general running and administration of the finance department.

Requirements

  • AAT qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Sage Accounts & Payroll and invoicing processes.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A collaborative team player with strong communication skills and the ability to handle customer interactions professionally.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary (£28,000-£34,000 per annum) and benefits package."
