Job Overview

Bennett & Game Recruitment Limited seeks an accomplished Technical Manager to lead technical, quality, and hygiene initiatives within our factory, working under the supervision of the Head of Technical.

This role demands strict adherence to technical protocols and the ability to train and develop the QA and tech teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Elevate the technical standards of the factory by guiding staff in implementing the technical strategy and enforcing adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
  2. Develop and execute a comprehensive plan for maintaining HACCP, upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.
  3. Take charge of day-to-day operations in the absence of the Head of Technical, guaranteeing continuity of work.
  4. Implement rigorous cleanliness policies throughout the facility, consistently striving for exceptional standards.
  5. Conduct thorough site audits, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to maintain the highest levels of quality and safety.
  6. Cultivate a culture of food safety within the organization.
  7. Analyze product quality, detecting deviations from specifications and providing swift corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  8. Ensure seamless integration of the technical component into the New Product Development process.
  9. Directly supervise and mentor QA and compliance teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovative problem-solving.
  10. Negotiate with regulatory bodies to ensure our facility remains compliant with industry standards.
  11. Audit and address customer complaints, devising efficient solutions to mitigate losses.
  12. Systematically track and update records of glassware, hard plastics, and ceramics, incorporating new products as needed.
  13. Establish a precise program for routine testing, ensuring prompt execution according to established schedules.
  14. Procure necessary supplies and materials for technical functions.
  15. Oversight and guidance of QA and QC teams, ensuring regular rotation and meeting deadlines for critical tasks.
Essential Qualifications
  • Demonstrable experience as a technical manager.
  • Proven background in a manufacturing setting, specifically within the FMCG sector.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, enabling seamless collaboration across departments.
Remuneration Package
  • Competitive annual salary: £43,000 - £46,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
  • A comprehensive benefits package will be offered, tailored to individual needs.
