Job Summary:

Morson Talent is recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to join a leading defence equipment manufacturer based in Bolton, Greater Manchester. This is a contract role with a high likelihood of being long-term.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Certify products in line with product certification procedures and defined workmanship standards.
  • Maintain product certification and approval via regular audits.
  • Apply versatile skills across a range of tasks.
  • Be fully conversant with all equipment, tools, and measuring instruments associated with the manufacturing cycle.
  • Ensure manufacturing build times are met.
  • Check and complete all paperwork associated with the manufacturing data pack.
  • Maintain workmanship standards and product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain a good housekeeping policy.
  • Communicate best practice to other team members.

Requirements:

  • Formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship to NVQ (alternative documentation will be accepted).
  • Eligibility for SC (Secret Level) UK Security Clearance.
