About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a wonderful Primary School in Derby. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the classroom teacher to deliver high-quality education and care to primary school students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide pastoral and academic support to students.
  • Assist the class teacher with lessons, distribute materials, and monitor student behaviour.
  • Offer targeted support for students with SEN (Special Educational Needs), including ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder).

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant (TA) or Learning Support Assistant (LSA) in a school setting or relevant experience working with children.
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
  • A kind and caring demeanor, with a willingness to be hands-on and proactive.
  • A valid DBS check or a willingness to apply for one.
