Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor Position

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Contract Scotland. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial aspects of substation projects, leading contract management tasks, and providing strategic commercial advice to enhance project profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage financial aspects of substation projects, adhering to budgets while upholding quality.
  • Lead contract management tasks, including negotiations, administration, and dispute resolution.
  • Provide strategic commercial advice to enhance project profitability and mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
  • Conduct cost analysis and forecasting for decision-making support.
  • Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors in their career development.
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure contract compliance and timely deliveries.
  • Prepare and submit financial reports (monthly, quarterly assessments, and payment applications).
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities to boost project efficiency.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and financial records for all contracts and project finances.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in the construction or infrastructure sector.
  • Strong contract management skills, ideally with NEC contracts or similar.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
