Company Overview:

Bright Horizons Saffron Walden Day Nursery and Preschool is a leading provider of high-quality childcare and education. We are seeking an experienced and qualified individual to lead our team as the Nursery Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of early years professionals in delivering outstanding care and education to children.
  • Drive employee engagement, retention, and performance through effective leadership and management.
  • Work closely with HR to ensure recruitment and retention strategies are in place.
  • Model and mentor staff to ensure high-quality practice and adherence to safeguarding policies.
  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, managing policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
  • Develop succession plans for the nursery team, ensuring continuity and smooth transition.
  • Engage with the Local Authority to understand the local offer and contribute to its development.

Requirements:

  • A full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
  • Significant experience within an early years leadership role, preferably in a nursery setting.
  • A proven track record of participating in regulatory inspections and contributing to improvement strategies.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and legislative requirements.
  • The ability to build trust and strong working relationships with staff, parents, and external partners.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is approximately £40,174 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience. Bright Horizons offers a comprehensive benefits package, including enhanced DBS checks for all employees.
