Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our well-established team of Clinical Psychologists in the Fylde Coast Community Mental Health Teams. The successful candidate will work with another Principal Clinical Psychologist to provide joint clinical leadership and supervision to the Senior Clinical Psychologists, Senior CBT Therapist/EMDR Consultant, Assistant Clinical Psychologist, and Trainee Clinical Psychologist(s) working within the teams.

Main Responsibilities

The post-holder will be responsible for providing clinical input and leadership across the Fylde Coast adult community and urgent care pathway. This will include working with the Senior Clinical Psychologists to develop and implement therapeutic programs, providing clinical supervision and training to junior staff, and contributing to the development of the team's strategic plan.

About the Role

This is a great opportunity to develop therapeutic skills in Internal Family Systems, EMDR, and Compassion Focused Therapy. Clinical Supervision can be provided in each of these modalities. In this role, there are opportunities for direct and indirect/systemic clinical work, consultation, research, audit, and clinical leadership.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent, and will have a strong background in clinical psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology. They will also have experience of working with adults with mental health problems, and will have a good understanding of the principles of clinical supervision and training.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary and a range of benefits, including a £7k Welcome Bonus package. This bonus is only available for people who are not currently employed (or who have not been employed in the last 12 months) by any NHS provider trust in the Lancashire & South Cumbria Integrated Care System in a like-for-like role. These incentives are subject to recovery clauses within the first 6 months of employment. This bonus is applicable from 1st July 2024 - 30th September 2024.
