Pertemps Harrow is seeking a motivated and self-driven Accommodation Inspector to join their expanding team. This temporary role offers a competitive pay rate, excellent training, career development support, and 21 days of holiday.

Main Responsibilities:

* Ensure that nightly paid accommodation booked by the Council is being used by the intended client.
* Verify that the accommodation complies with property standards outlined in our policy and statutory regulations.
* Travel extensively within and outside the borough, and occasionally outside London, as required.
* Assist or train new staff at the direction of the team manager, and represent the Council at external meetings.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Housing Officer, including visiting clients in their homes.
* Strong ability to effectively engage with homeless clients face-to-face.
* Competence in inspecting individual properties to ensure compliance with agreed standards and specifying necessary works.
* In-depth knowledge of private sector housing law, health and safety rating systems, and other relevant regulations.
* Must drive and have access to a car.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging a wide range of stakeholders.
