Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Facilities Engineer to join our team at Premier Technical Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising, controlling, and maintaining plants in a multidisciplinary capacity to ensure all customer demands are met with minimal support to meet agreed budget targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate maintenance activities at main site and satellite locations to agreed company and industry standards.
  • Supervise internal and contract personnel in accordance with Permit to Work requirements.
  • Act as a senior person on site for plant emergencies and implement any appropriate site emergency plans as required.
  • Inspect and check all operating plant and machinery on a regular basis, including diagnosing faults and providing feedback for rectification.
  • Participate in maintaining the sites on-call system.

Requirements

  • Realistically qualified to at least HNC level or above in a relevant engineering discipline (Instrumentation, Electrical or Mechanical).
  • At least 4 years proven practical experience gained in a similar Facilities Engineer role.
  • Good base knowledge and understanding of industry and statutory standards and codes of practice.
  • Detailed knowledge of Permit to Work procedures.
  • Good understanding of current Health, Safety and Environment legislation (NEBOSH certificate preferred but not essential).
