About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Team Lead to join our team at Daniel Owen Ltd. As a Quality Assurance Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the Quality Inspection unit and ensuring that all quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage workflow and prioritize tasks effectively within the department.
  • Provide proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Oversee and support Quality Inspectors who will be operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and other metrology tools for inspection purposes.
  • Oversee the FAIRS process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey complex technical information clearly.
Requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve inspection-related issues.
  • Ability to competently read and understand manufacturing drawing requirements, including geometric tolerances.
  • Highly competent and experienced gauge and CMM inspector.
  • Ability to lead a small team and provide workflow direction.
  • History of generating PPQP and FAI reports.
  • CMM Programming Skills is desirable (Software - Aberlink).
  • Ability to identify and record non-conformances.
