Job Title: Cover Supervisor Math

Job Summary:

GSL Education is seeking a dynamic and proactive Cover Supervisor in mathematics to work in schools in North Shields.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the classroom, ensuring students remain on task and continue their learning during the absence of their regular mathematics teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the classroom during teacher absences.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students remain on task.
  • Provide support and guidance to students in their learning activities.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of mathematics and the ability to engage students in the subject.
  • Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Organised, reliable, and flexible.
