As a Financial Operations Manager at Borne, you will play a critical role in assisting with the day-to-day financial tasks whilst driving financial performance and supporting strategic decision-making.


You will work closely with the managing director and senior management team to analyse financial data, prepare forecasts and ensure compliance with financial regulations.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and liaise with external auditors.
  • Full responsibility for sales and purchase ledgers including but not limited to, raising sales invoices, credit control, entering purchase invoices and administering bank payments.
  • Undertake monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Liaise with external payroll provider and undertake monthly payroll journal postings.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
  • Monitor projects and complete quarterly work in progress schedules.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as required by management.

Requirements:



  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, AAT) is preferred.
  • Proven experience in management accounting or a similar role, preferably in a small to medium-sized business essential.
  • Proficiency in accounting software packages (Xero and Microsoft Excel).
