Job Title: Pastry Chef

We are seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our team at The Lampery - Seething Lane. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for the operation of the entire Pastry station, preparing items for Restaurant and Events that have specific pastry requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Chef/Senior Sous Chef in ensuring the correct preparation of pastry.
  • Make pastry and desserts for the Restaurant, Function Rooms, and Room Service.
  • Ensure standards of performance in order to maximise food sales.
  • Support the team in other areas of the kitchen.
  • Ensure that health and safety procedures are implemented at all times and to comply with hygiene regulations.
  • Help design menus, ordering, and assisting with the development of staff within the team.
Requirements:
  • Deliver excellent standards.
  • Be self-aware and able to evaluate your own work.
  • Have a customer service attitude.
  • Have the ability to multi-task and provide excellent attention to detail.
  • At least NVQ Level 3 in Food Preparation/Pastry equivalent.
  • Previous 4 or 5-star hotel experience or worked within a high-quality Restaurant with Rosette experience.
