Job Title: Female Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Support Worker to join our team at Independent Living Solutions Ltd. As a Female Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients, ensuring their safety, physical wellbeing, and independence.

About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for a Female Support Worker to join a committed and supportive team, working with a client who requires quiet, empathetic support to maintain her interests in daily life and access the community. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with adults with brain injury who can present with physically challenging behaviour.

You will be responsible for providing support and care to our client, ensuring her safety and physical wellbeing, and facilitating her independence by adopting the appropriate approach tailored to her individual personality and mental health issues.

The team works closely with a Psychologist who has established the approach needed to meet our client's needs, enabling consistency and minimizing agitation/trigger. You will be required to assist with weekly hydrotherapy and work as part of a team to provide support and care to our client.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care and support to our client, ensuring her safety and physical wellbeing.
  • Facilitate our client's independence by adopting the appropriate approach tailored to her individual personality and mental health issues.
  • Assist with weekly hydrotherapy and other activities as required.
  • Work as part of a team to provide support and care to our client.
Requirements:
  • Experience in working with adults with brain injury who can present with physically challenging behaviour.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work within a large team.
  • Patience, tact, understanding, warmth, and compassion.
  • Basic IT skills and an interest in therapy (desirable).
