Job Overview

This position involves overseeing engineering projects focused on implementing new plant installations, enhancing automation, and ensuring the completion of all maintenance tasks. The role requires leadership of an engineering team, managing internal workloads, and coordinating with external contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Lead and manage engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, within scope, and budget.
  • Plant and Machinery Installation: Oversee installation, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, coordinate with internal and external teams to troubleshoot issues, develop preventative maintenance, and implement best practices.
  • Contractor Management: Evaluate, select, and manage contractors for engineering projects, ensuring they adhere to project specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Engineering Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing engineering project team, provide guidance, support, and mentorship, foster a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and learning and development.
Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline would be advantageous, further education or training in project management is preferred. Proven experience in project management, contractor management, and team leadership, familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards.
