Job Overview

The Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Biomedical Scientist to join their Laboratory Medicine team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality laboratory services and contributing to the Trust's mission to provide excellent patient care.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Undertake day-to-day analysis and validation of results, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Participate in out-of-hours shifts and contribute to the monitoring of quality indicators.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science or equivalent.
  • State Registration as Biomedical Scientist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Post-graduate, post-registration training in a specialist area, leading to a completed specialist portfolio.
Desirable Criteria
  • Willingness to pursue further qualifications.
  • Experience working in a laboratory setting.
