Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to lead our Medicines Management Team at Frome Medical Practice.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader to guide our team through the pilot programme and shape the future of patient-centred care in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • To lead the development of our Medicines Management Team, creating and implementing a structured work plan that meets both Practice and PCN requirements in collaboration with the Senior Management Team.
  • Mentor and develop a team of Clinical Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians, fostering an environment of growth and learning.
  • Support the apprenticeship and continued education of our pharmacy technician apprentice.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Masters degree in pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent.
  • Registration as a pharmacist with the pharmaceutical council (GPhC).
  • Postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy prescribing or relevant clinical area.
  • Leadership or management training.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development in medicines management.
Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, ideally in primary care or a hospital setting.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading a team, providing mentorship and managing multidisciplinary health care teams.
  • Experience in implementing quality improvement initiatives ideally with an understanding of sustainable QI approaches.
  • Skills in strategic planning and developing teams.
  • An innovative approach to problem solving and the ability to optimise patient pathways and service delivery.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, the role offers a range of benefits including free parking, NHS and local discounts, cycle to work scheme, in-house training, and employee events.
