Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatrician to join our team as a Consultant in Paediatrics with a special interest in Diabetes. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care and advancing the field of Paediatric Diabetes.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert clinical care to children and young people with Diabetes and other Paediatric conditions
  • Leading and participating in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care pathways
  • Conducting research and audit to improve patient outcomes and advance the field of Paediatric Diabetes
  • Teaching and mentoring junior colleagues to develop their skills and knowledge
  • Contributing to the development of clinical policies and guidelines

Person Specification

We are seeking a candidate with:

  • Full GMC Registration and Licence to Practice
  • MBBS or equivalent
  • Substantive posts - Must be entered on the Specialist Register (or entry within 6 months)
  • MRCPCH
  • More than five years of experience working at middle grade level in General Paediatrics
  • Experience in Safeguarding Medicals and report writing
  • Valid Level 3 Safeguarding Training
