Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client, a leading construction company, is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential groundwork and civil experience, with a proven track record of managing commercial aspects of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Commercial responsibility for the commercial function within the company, working closely with the Contracts Manager and reporting to the Managing QS.
  • Maximise cash flow through timely preparations of valuations, submission of invoices, and receipt of payment.
  • Review plant and equipment schedules to ensure efficiency of use.
  • Develop a strategy for concluding client negotiations.
Person Specification:
  • Computer literate to a high level.
  • Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience is ideal.
  • Good working knowledge of the NEC Suite of Documents.
  • Able to work as part of a team and alone, with a high degree of accuracy and manage a small team of site-based Quantity Surveyors.
