Role Title: Electrical Engineer

Location: Pangbourne

Role Purpose:

As a Static Electrical Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the completion of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual service and PPMs, as well as reactive works. Your primary goal will be to ensure the efficient operation of all electrical systems within the buildings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate all electrical systems in a competent, effective, and efficient manner.
  • Complete PPM and reactive tasks and update the electronic workflow system.
  • Ensure daily checks are completed and report any defects found via the FM helpdesk.
  • Identify materials required to be ordered and installed in a timely manner.
  • Comply with statutory and company health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies.
  • Implement and record statutory inspections, including accurate recording within specified logbooks.
  • Review and sign off Specialist Service Provider worksheets, inspect the quality of work, and escalate recommendations to the Supervisor.
  • Maintain the site, plant areas, workshops, stores, changing/rest areas, and other facilities to the highest level of housekeeping.
  • Participate in emergency response standby as part of a call-out rota.
  • Escalate urgent issues to the Technical Services Manager and respond to work interruptions, outages, or emergencies consistent with the SLA.
  • Liaise with client representatives regarding maintenance and repair tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on and troubleshoot all building systems, including three-phase and single-phase systems, building management systems, electrical monitoring, HVAC systems, air handling, air conditioning, chillers, pumps, motors, and variable speed drives.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Electrical engineering apprenticeship or similar.
  • BS 7671 18th edition.
  • C&G 2391 or equivalent.
  • PPM experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to deal with all levels of staff.
  • Proactive in achieving the highest standard of operation.
  • Good IT and report writing skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure while remaining calm, clear-thinking, and delivering required services to the client within given time constraints.
  • Experience with UPS and standby power.
  • LOTO experience.
  • HVAC experience (not essential).
  • BMS experience (a bonus).
  • CAFM (Corrigo) knowledge (a bonus).
