Position Overview:

As an Audit Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of client portfolios, guaranteeing that all technical work meets the highest standards. You will lead audits from inception to conclusion, collaborating closely with senior charity managers and trustees to address and resolve audit challenges. Your expertise will be vital in managing a diverse range of clients, including registered charities, social enterprises, community benefit societies, Community Interest Companies (CICs), and Charitable Incorporated Organizations (CIOs), with turnovers typically between £1 million and £20 million.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee audit processes, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and the Charities Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP).
  • Demonstrate proficiency in accounting and auditing standards relevant to the charity sector.
  • Manage a varied portfolio of clients, maintaining strong relationships and delivering exceptional service.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills to foster collaboration across all organizational levels.
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all deliverables.
  • Effectively prioritize multiple tasks while adhering to strict deadlines.
