Electronics Systems Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Systems Engineer to join our team at G&H (Gooch & Housego) in St Asaph, North Wales. This role will focus on electronic system design and development of new imaging and sighting systems for Aerospace & Defence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electronic solutions for electro-optical products using FPGA, digital, and analogue electronic hardware and software.
  • Provide electronic systems engineering inputs from concept to manufacture and test.
  • Assist with requirements capture and specification definition, sensitivity analysis, and reliability analysis as required.
  • Interfacing with and managing output from sub-contractors.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and perform electronic design, analysis, and test.
  • Prepare presentations and reports to a high standard for all phases of the project.
  • Work with Business Development and Engineering teams to support new opportunities and generate solutions for customers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree level in Electrical and/or Electronics engineering, 2:1 or better.
  • Demonstrable knowledge in digital and analogue signal processing, and video processing.
  • Analogue electronics design experience.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation that supports the product development process, including product specifications, manuals, and end-user instructions.
  • Positive, flexible approach to working with a 'can-do' attitude.
Desirable Skills:
  • Firmware development experience, C, (C++, C#, Python advantageous).
  • Demonstratable knowledge in digital and analogue video processing.
  • Experience of production test planning for electronics.
