Job Title: Senior Data Scientist

Square Enix is a leading entertainment company that creates and delivers engaging experiences for customers worldwide. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our Data Science & AI Team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and deploying scalable data science models and algorithms to drive marketing, promotion, and personalization actions that provide measurable improvement. This includes identifying, analyzing, and interpreting users' in-game and outer-game behavioral data, and applying analytics and machine learning methods.

The Senior Data Scientist will lead junior/mid data scientists and collaborate with Data Engineering, DevOps, and business stakeholders to ensure the accurate implementation and impact of recommender systems deployed. Key deliverables include building and deploying scalable data science models, providing ongoing maintenance and support for deployed machine learning models, and promoting best practices in machine learning system deployment, testing, and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deploy data science models and algorithms to drive business growth and customer engagement.
  • Analyze and interpret user behavior data to inform business decisions and optimize marketing strategies.
  • Lead junior/mid data scientists and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in machine learning and data science.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Data Scientist and/or Product Engineer, working on similar projects such as user communication, service optimization, and personalization.
  • Practical experience in methodologies used in recommender systems, such as Collaborative Filtering, Content-Based Recommendation, and Matrix Factorization.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and technologies for deploying and managing machine learning models at scale, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to mentor and train junior data scientists.
