The Role:

Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Swisslog. As a key member of our intralogistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our automated machinery, including high bay cranes, conveyors, and pallet de-stackers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on automated equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and industry standards.
  • Identify and troubleshoot system faults, prioritizing repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner, maintaining excellent customer relations.
  • Adhere to quality processes and procedures, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
The Person:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer who can deliver exceptional results in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong engineering skills, with a solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
  • A recognized Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working at heights and with automation systems, including pallet de-stackers and cranes.
  • A working understanding of technical manuals and drawings, with the ability to interpret and apply technical information.
  • Previous experience with planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules and PLC systems would be advantageous.
