About the Role

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining a high level of visibility and presence across hospital sites to deter potential threats and ensure patient safety;
  • Undertaking risk assessments and taking appropriate action to mitigate any potential risks;
  • Providing exceptional customer care skills and supporting patients, staff, and visitors in a courteous and respectful manner;
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve departmental objectives and contribute to a positive working environment;
  • Assisting with mortuary duties out of hours and ensuring that all necessary procedures are followed.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • A current SIA certificate Door Supervisor or Security Guard;
  • GCSE grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent);
  • Experience of undertaking dynamic risk assessments and taking appropriate action;
  • Calm and composed in stressful situations, with the ability to remain resilient when dealing with challenging behaviour;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and with diverse stakeholders.
