The Role

We are looking to recruit an experienced, ambitious, and hard-working surveyor to join our Agency department. This position offers an exciting opportunity for career development, with a clear path towards Directorship and the potential to progress to Head of Department and equity shareholding.

The successful candidate will be expected to focus in particular on the firm's retail and industrial agency activities, drive its development and further enhance our market position. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing daily instructions and lead generation
  • Collaborating with colleagues from our Property Management and Professional department to identify opportunities
  • Taking ownership of their workload with limited involvement from other senior colleagues
  • Training and mentoring junior colleagues
  • Implementing policy and procedures, ensuring compliance with best practice to include Anti-Money Laundering regulations
  • Regularly networking to promote the business and themselves
  • Undertaking a minimum of 20 hours of CPD and training
  • Tackling specific weaknesses and gaining knowledge and acquiring new skills by developing professional competencies

About You

The successful candidate attributes will include:

  • 4 + years experience in the property industry
  • Qualified as AssocRICS or MRICS, or working towards RICS Qualification
  • Professional and objective approach to work
  • Commercially minded and understanding the balance needed as an agent in providing clients with good quality advice and the need to earn fees
  • Excellent inter-personal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to think laterally
  • Effective organisational and planning skills, and the ability to multi-task
  • High level of numeracy and experience working with Excel
  • Accurate, diligent, and attentive to detail
  • Full clean driving license
