Vehicle Maintenance Professional Wanted

We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team at Demob Job Ltd in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading vehicle maintenance company and contribute to the success of our business.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining vehicles to ensure they are safe and roadworthy. This will involve using computerized diagnostic machines to identify mechanical faults and completing job cards and reports for customer vehicle fleets.

Salary and Benefits: The salary for this position is £60,000 per year, with opportunities for overtime. We also offer a range of benefits, including 20 days' holiday plus 8 bank holidays, a company pension scheme, and private healthcare.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting vehicles for service and maintenance needs
  • Locating mechanical faults using computerized diagnostic machines
  • Completing job cards and reports for customer vehicle fleets
  • Carrying out pre-MOT checks and testing
  • Diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Proven background in a similar role
  • Experience working on HGV vehicles
  • Basic electrical knowledge for fault diagnosis and rectification
  • Holding a current HGV/LGV Class 2 minimum licence
  • Full UK driving licence
