Mechanical Technician

We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Aggreko. As a key member of our operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our assets.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and undertaking a range of maintenance activities within defined operating procedures. This will include conducting safety inspections, providing first-level technical advice to customers, and resolving/troubleshooting implementation problems.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Reporting to the Lead Technician and working on the maintenance of Aggreko products in line with production schedules, product quality, health and safety, and cost targets.
- Assembling Aggreko manufacturing products in accordance with work instructions and quality control documentation.
- Troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, assembly, overhaul, and refurbishment of Aggreko products.
- Assembly of fuel and cooling system hoses, pipes, and fittings.
- Assembly and sub-assembly of fabricated components.
- Mating and torquing of flange assemblies.
- Use of air tools, hand tools, torque tools, overhead cranes, lifting and slinging equipment, and measuring equipment.
- Working to high-quality standards and escalating quality issues when they arise.
- Collaborating with direct team members and wider manufacturing cross-functional teams as required.
- Involvement in Continuous Improvement projects and activities.
- Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment.
- Working strictly in accordance with company policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or acceptable equivalent qualifications/experience.
- At least 2-5 years of experience in the mechanical and electrical field.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical repairs.
- NGG experience preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong knowledge of service and repair methods, including assembling mechanical systems.
- Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Able to work under pressure and deliver tasks on time, to a high level of quality and accuracy, with strong attention to detail.
- Availability to travel as and when required.
- Possession of a valid local driving license as per the needs of the business.
