**Role Summary:**

We are seeking a Defence Meteorology Consultant to join our team at the Met Office. As a Defence Meteorology Consultant, you will provide expert advice on weather-related matters to support defence operations.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in meteorology, with experience in forecasting and analyzing weather patterns. They will also possess excellent communication skills, enabling them to effectively convey complex weather information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

The role involves working as part of a shift-working team, delivering observing and forecasting capability to support customer operations. You will analyze and enhance forecast guidance, using local knowledge to provide services and advice to customers in a style that suits their requirements.

Salary: Up to £46,974 annually, depending on experience.
