Cambridgeshire & Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Old Age Psychiatrists to join our community-based services, providing excellent care to the population of Cambridgeshire.

Five posts are available across Peterborough, Ely, and Fenland, including a post in the Peterborough-based Crisis Team for older people. This post is based on the Maples ward and is available either as a permanent post or a twelve-month fixed-term or secondment post.

Our integrated model of care brings together staff delivering physical healthcare and mental healthcare for the elderly, and during the current Covid epidemic, it has proven its benefits.

A key focus for the delivery of community care are integrated, multidisciplinary, multi-agency neighbourhood teams (NTs).

Main Duties

Clinical:

To lead the multidisciplinary team in providing excellent psychiatric care.

To provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans.

To lead weekly MDT meetings and ensure prompt reviews of acutely unwell patients.

To work closely with the CRHTT OP, community teams, and liaison services as patients move between these teams.
