Electrical Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our client's team in Northeast Lincolnshire. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining plant and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to company Health and Safety policies and HSE regulations, prioritizing personal safety and that of colleagues.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, drives, and other electrical control systems, conducting preventive and scheduled maintenance as required.
  • Documentation: Complete necessary documentation, including automation/controls change control, daily logs, and job reports.
  • Training and Collaboration: Train and assist colleagues and contractors, liaising with operations to prioritize breakdown repairs and handle ad-hoc requests.
  • Stakeholder Interaction: Develop strong working relationships with internal colleagues and external partners, such as contractors, suppliers, and customers.
  • Flexibility: Be adaptable to various tasks and changes in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a flexible approach to working hours.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Relevant engineering qualifications, ideally ONC/OND in Electrical Engineering, 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations, and working knowledge of control systems and principles.
  • Experience: Experience with large material handling equipment and working with plant and equipment, knowledge of effective maintenance strategies, such as RCM, PM, CBM, and TPM.
  • Certifications: Must hold a full UK driving licence, ideally be a working AP(LV) under HBT electrical safety rules or willing to undertake necessary training.
