Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Technical Resource Coordinator to join our Waste Operations team at Thames Water. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting our Waste Operational Control Centre, ensuring the safe and effective coordination of confined space sewer entries and responding to customer notifications of asset failures that could cause pollution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Asset Failure Response: Receive and coordinate responses to customer notifications regarding above-ground asset failures, escalating where necessary.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Manage 24/7 scheduling, including out-of-hours responses for issues like internal customer flooding and pollution incidents.
  • Confined Space Support: Complete live scenario checks, prior to confirming safe entry for confined space sewer entry activities, thus providing critical support for critical Health & Safety activities.
  • Liaison and Coordination: Liaise with the scheduling team to ensure smooth operations during in-hours work and take over out-of-hours scheduling activities.
  • Customer Support: Work closely with Field and Site Managers to resolve customer complaints without direct customer interaction.
Requirements
  • Quick Response and Problem-Solving Skills: Quick response and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
  • Scheduling and Customer Service Experience: Scheduling and customer service experience will be useful but not essential.
  • Wastewater Experience: Wastewater experience would be beneficial.
  • Proactive and Team-Oriented Mindset: A proactive and team-oriented mindset, and ability to work independently on shifts.

  • Competitive Salary: Competitive salary up from £26,800 to £35,000 per annum depending on skills and experience.
  • Annual Leave: 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service (Plus bank holidays).
