Our client is seeking an Electrical and Mechanical Engineer with high voltage electrical experience to join their team. This role involves working on shift, covering nights for holidays or sickness, and occasional overtime and travel for training purposes. The ideal candidate will have completed a maintenance engineering apprenticeship and hold 5 years of related experience in electrical/mechanical maintenance or project roles. A HNC/ONC or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field and 18th Edition is desirable. The successful candidate will be responsible for facility maintenance, ensuring optimum operation of all ancillary and peripheral systems in the plant and warehouse. They will also provide support to the production shift supervisor in reacting to breakdowns efficiently and successfully. Key responsibilities include conducting fault diagnostics on Electrical, pneumatic and mechanical equipment, and knowledge of mechanical, electrical systems, electronic drives and controls and engineering regulations. The ideal candidate will be team-oriented with great interpersonal skills and a strong sense of initiative in order to identify key plant issues and develop a workable solution from data. They will be results-oriented, working closely within the maintenance team to deliver on key success areas of the business plan, taking corrective action, anticipating issues and setting contingency plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct fault diagnostics on Electrical, pneumatic and mechanical equipment
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical systems, electronic drives and controls and engineering regulations
  • Provide support to the production shift supervisor in reacting to breakdowns efficiently and successfully
  • Responsible for plant facility and ancillary services
  • Facility maintenance, ensuring optimum operation of all ancillary and peripheral systems in the plant and warehouse
Requirements:
  • Completed a maintenance engineering apprenticeship
  • 5 years of related experience in electrical/mechanical maintenance or project roles
  • HNC/ONC or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field and 18th Edition
  • Awareness of all IEEE, BS7671 Wiring Regs and Electricity at Work regulations including all safety rules applying to electrical work ensuring that safe working practices are adhered to at all times
