Job Description

The Heavy Equipment Service Specialist will be responsible for performing routine vehicle maintenance, standard component inspections and repairs, preventive maintenance, diagnoses of mechanical and electronic problems, identifies root cause of basic failures/conditions, and performs repairs as required. This role also involves interacting with customers/drivers to properly determine the nature of complaint once assigned a task.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties including tire and wheel maintenance, preventive maintenance, brake hydraulic, brakes-air, charging systems, electrical, drive axles, suspension-chassis, and cab inspection.
  2. Identify makes and models, identify normal operation, identify and repair air leaks, identify malfunctions and make basic repairs with moderate supervision.
  3. Inspect housings for leaks, change oil and filter if required, and clean breathers.
Requirements
  • Two (2) years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience preferred.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A is an asset.
  • Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of computers intermediate required.
Salary and Benefits
  • Estimated salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year.
  • PTO Policy: 10 days of paid time off in the first year (in addition to regular vacation pay).
  • Weekdays only. Rotating day and afternoon shifts, Monday to Friday.
