Design Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Manager/ Co-ordinator to join our team at 3D Personnel Protek. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to take the next step in their career and contribute to the success of our company.
The RoleAs our Design Manager/ Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the design process from planning approval to construction commencement. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with the Land & Planning Manager to ensure seamless planning submissions
- Identifying, appointing, and managing external design teams to meet project briefs and design programs
- Coordinating all relevant testing and reports to support design completion and planning
- Ensuring compliance with CSHSP and client requirements
- Liaising with stakeholders to provide information at required stages
- Organizing and participating in design review meetings
- Collaborating with the Commercial Team to ensure designs are within project budgets
- Coordinating planning submissions and condition discharge
- Reviewing and managing the flow of information to ensure technical details are incorporated into design
- Researching and exploring design options to improve build quality and value engineering
- Reviewing design and construction information to ensure compliance with client requirements
- Managing and coordinating Section Agreements process
- Understanding CDM regulations and duties for Client, Principal Designer, and Designers
- Adhering to Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements, procedures, and policies
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual with a relevant construction or architectural qualification. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an equivalent or similar role within the construction industry. Key skills and qualifications include:
- Good knowledge of the design process and construction design stages with a Main Contractor
- Technical knowledge and ability to use design and project management software
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to build design team rapport and motivate others
- Good knowledge of current building regulations, SAP calculations, and their impact on design
