Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Education Leader to join our team at Dumfries and Galloway Council. The successful candidate will have a key role in leading the Humanities Faculty and will be responsible for developing and implementing curriculum strategies to improve student outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of leadership and teaching experience in secondary education, with a proven ability to inspire and motivate students and staff. They will be committed to delivering high-quality education and will have a deep understanding of the curriculum and its implementation.

The successful candidate will be a key member of our team and will work closely with other leaders to achieve our vision of providing a world-class education to our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Humanities Faculty and develop curriculum strategies to improve student outcomes
  • Develop and implement teaching and learning strategies to improve student achievement
  • Work closely with other leaders to achieve our vision of providing a world-class education
  • Contribute to the development of the school's curriculum and assessment policies

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience in secondary education
  • Strong teaching and learning skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students and staff
  • Deep understanding of the curriculum and its implementation
