You will be instrumental in promoting health and independence by delivering high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions, as well as providing clinical leadership, supervision, and consultation to the wider multidisciplinary team.
As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for managing a designated caseload, completing assessments, planning and implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes aligned to care plans.
Key responsibilities include:
- Accepting clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of residents and organizing this efficiently and effectively.
- Formulating and delivering individual Occupational Therapy management and treatment programs based on specialist knowledge of clinically reasoned and evidence-based practice.
- Overseeing the clinical OT supervision, education, and performance of more junior members of therapy staff, students, and therapy assistants.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Occupational Therapy profession qualification.
- Extensive and relevant post-qualification clinical experience with children and young people who have complex needs.
- Extensive experience of applying occupational frames of reference and approaches.
- Demonstrates evidence of highly effective clinical reasoning skills.
- Highly specialist knowledge of relevant assessment and treatment models.
We offer a competitive annual salary of £40,500 pro rata, equivalent to 33 days annual leave, free meals and parking, wellbeing support, career development opportunities, and a range of other benefits.
