At Elysium Healthcare, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Specialist Occupational Therapist. In this role, you will lead in the advanced assessment and treatment of residents with diverse and complex physical and neurological conditions.

You will be instrumental in promoting health and independence by delivering high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions, as well as providing clinical leadership, supervision, and consultation to the wider multidisciplinary team.

As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for managing a designated caseload, completing assessments, planning and implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes aligned to care plans.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Accepting clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of residents and organizing this efficiently and effectively.
  • Formulating and delivering individual Occupational Therapy management and treatment programs based on specialist knowledge of clinically reasoned and evidence-based practice.
  • Overseeing the clinical OT supervision, education, and performance of more junior members of therapy staff, students, and therapy assistants.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Occupational Therapy profession qualification.
  • Extensive and relevant post-qualification clinical experience with children and young people who have complex needs.
  • Extensive experience of applying occupational frames of reference and approaches.
  • Demonstrates evidence of highly effective clinical reasoning skills.
  • Highly specialist knowledge of relevant assessment and treatment models.

We offer a competitive annual salary of £40,500 pro rata, equivalent to 33 days annual leave, free meals and parking, wellbeing support, career development opportunities, and a range of other benefits.
