We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Relief Support Worker to join our team at CrossReach. As a Relief Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support to individuals with mental health challenges, helping them to achieve their personal goals and improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual and group support to people with mental health problems and their carers
- Develop and implement personalized support plans in collaboration with service users
- Work closely with other professionals to maintain effective referral procedures
- Help promote the values of choice, self-help, and empowerment
- Assist service users in building relationships, developing essential life skills, and connecting with their local community
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers who contribute to our services
- Basic computer literacy skills
- Experience in social work, social care, or a related discipline
- Good understanding of mental health issues and experience working with people with mental health problems
- SVQ Level 3 qualification (ideally)
- Empathy and ability to work both independently and as part of a small team
- Respect for our Christian ethos
- Membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and completion of necessary vetting checks
