The Role: Multi-Skilled Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team at our Butterkist popcorn factory. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production lines.
Your Responsibilities:
- Carry out repairs and maintenance on a wide range of production equipment, including bagging machines, multihead weighers, pick-and-place robots, automated case packing machinery, and industrial oil popping and frying machines.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve equipment issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and repairs.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Work effectively with contractors and suppliers to complete projects efficiently.
Your Skills and Experience:
- City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within the food industry.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to safety and quality standards.
