Health and Safety Trainer Position

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Trainer to deliver various training courses at our centres in Plymouth and at customer venues across the south west.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the MS Office suite, particularly PowerPoint and Word, and will be able to develop and deliver practical courses, such as disc cutter and banksperson.

As part of Greenlight Safety and Training, you will be responsible for delivering and developing accredited and in-house Health and Safety Training, such as CITB, IOSH, UKATA, Proqual, and Highfield.

You will need to have a NEBOSH Construction or Equivalent qualification, a Level 3 Education and Training Award Teaching Qualification or equivalent, and verifiable construction experience at management level.

The role will also involve liaising with customers to identify their specific requirements and helping with any funding opportunities.

Main Duties:

  • Delivering training courses at our in-house training centre and occasional training offsite.
  • Developing and delivering practical courses, such as disc cutter and banksperson.
  • Completing and marking assessments, while maintaining awarding body requirements and assisting with annual audits.
  • Liaising with customers to identify their specific requirements and helping with any funding opportunities.
  • Preparing all paperwork and handouts for training events.
  • Becoming part of the IQA team to monitor existing and nurture new trainers and assessors.

Essential Individual Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Construction or Equivalent qualification.
  • Level 3 Education and Training Award Teaching Qualification or equivalent.
  • Verifiable construction experience at management level.
  • Proven experience of delivering Health and Safety Training.
  • Driving Licence.

Desired Requirements:

  • CITB Registered Trainer.
  • UKATA Registered Trainer.
  • First Aid Trainer.
  • Mental Health First Aid Trainer.
  • Assessors Qualification.
  • Internal Auditor.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday.

  • Construction: 2 years (required).

Licence/Certification:

  • NEBOSH Construction or Equivalent (required).
  • Teaching Qualification (AET/PTLLS or Equivalent) (required).
  • Driving Licence (required).
