Therapist Position for Cancer Care

Join NELFT North East London Foundation Trust as a Clinical Health Psychologist to provide psychological support to patients with cancer.
We are seeking an experienced psychologist to work within our Cancer Psychological Therapies team, offering specialist input and supporting the service in managing its waiting list.
Your key responsibilities will include providing individual, family, and group input to patients, contributing to delivering Level 2 training across NEL, and offering staff support and consultation to oncology, haematology, and palliative care teams.
About the Role- Salary: £45,875 - £60,547 per annum (pro rata for part-time)
- Holiday Entitlement: 25 days per annum (plus bank holidays)
This is a fixed-term one-year contract, either full or part-time. The post attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,313 to a maximum of £5,436 pro rata for part-time).
Requirements- Doctoral level training or equivalent in Clinical/Counselling Psychology
- HCPC registration or registration to equivalent psychotherapy body
- Ability to maintain professionalism and competence when dealing with complex problems
You must have experience working within clinical health psychology services, delivering psychological therapy in physical health services, and managing a caseload and clinical throughput. Knowledge of NHS Plan, NSF, BHRUT EOLC Strategy, and clinical governance priorities is essential.
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the comprehensive induction program, which includes mandatory training, systems training, and equipment allocation.
