Motor Technician

Job Summary:
Morgan Hunt Recruitment is seeking a skilled Motor Technician to join our team in Irvine. As a Motor Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the client's fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including servicing, inspection, and repairs of vehicles.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle defects, using diagnostic analysis techniques.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT testing, ensuring they meet the required standards.
- Maintain and inspect a range of mobile and static plant and attachments, including hydraulic systems.
- Complete service and repair vehicle worksheets, accurately documenting work completed.
Requirements:
- Time served mechanics and/or qualified to a minimum of city and guilds standard.
- Hold a current, valid, driving license covering categories B, C1, and D1.
- Ability to work independently, using initiative to solve problems.
- Experience in maintenance of road gritting and bin lifting equipment is desirable.
Working Hours:
The role involves working a biweekly shift pattern, with options for Monday to Friday shifts (6:30am - 14:30pm or 10:00am - 18:00pm) and Saturday overtime (7:30am - 11:30am, workload-based).
